Sustainability
We are committed to helping lessen the environmental and economic damage that fast fashion causes across the globe. We only use sustainably sourced organic cotton, along with recycled materials, ensuring that they are produced and delivered to you in the most ethical way possible.
How?
Our hoodies and tees are approved by the Fair Wear Foundation; this means that the textile workers responsible for making the garments are protected by the Code Of Labour Practice, ensuring them access to safe working environments and an ability to form Trade Unions. All the cotton used to created our garments is 100% organic, Oeko-Tex approved, Fairtrade cotton. They are also Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) approved and 100% vegan. We also utilise recycled materials in our garments wherever necessary. YDYB also supports good causes and charities; clicking on a garment will tell you which charity that item supports. We also use 'Made to Order' for many of our products, ensuring that we are lessening potential stock waste by not storing in bulk. YDYB looks good, but it does good too.
FAIR WEAR
The Fair Wear Foundation is an independent, non-profit organisation that works to improve conditions for workers in garment factories. To do this, they focus on garment production, specifically sewing, cutting and trimming processes–the most labour intensive parts of the supply chain. They work with 140+ brands who are committed to finding a fairer way to make clothes, and engage directly with factories, trade unions, NGOs and governments to find answers to problems others think are unsolvable. They are constantly working on new solutions across the supply chain to make fashion fair for everyone.
What about our packaging?
We are doing our bit to reduce plastic waste. All the packaging we use is reusable, and given how pretty our shipping boxes are: you're going to want to use them again! Our shipping bags are biodegradable too, so you never have to worry about our packaging contributing to landfill.
